Outfit Of The Day #3

Original Future Static Blouse - 9sd
Apres Ski Iced Over Long Skirt - 13sd
Miss XV Girls Heels - 57sc

I went for a slightly more grunge look today, generally because I wanted to try outfits that would work with my lipstick (probably the darkest I've went for ever) and I came up with this.
I really like this look, the shirt is something I was clueless as to how to style it but I think it worked well.

What do you think of this look?

Callie's Picks #8 - Red Carpet Ready

Today brought a new Callie's Picks issue, this one red carpet themed.

There were quite a few great pieces but many people share the concern as to why Stardoll rereleased items still in Starplaza and why the prices are so inflated.
The main issue was the Angelina Dress.
In Callie's Picks the dress bore a rather hefty price tag of 28sd. While the original is still in Starplaza, in Voile, for a mere 8sd.
And another, the Forest Fairy dress. Once given as a freebie, now priced at 24sd in the new rereleases.

While it's clear that a lot of items are simply ridiculously priced, there are some great pieces and a few I'd definitely purchase myself.
Here are my favourite items out of the collection.

Did you like this issue? Or do you just hate Callie's Picks altogether?

Outfit Of The Day #2

Archive Printed Scarf - 7sd
Bonjour Bizou Nolita Moto Jacket - 14sd
IT Girls Paris Tee - 9sd
LE Crotchet Jeans - 65sd
Nelly Iris Shoes - 9sd
Today I opted for a more summery look, wearing pretty basic clothes with a colourful patterned scarf to brighten the outfit up.
I'm in love with this look!
I just bought the scarf and was looking for an outfit to wear it in and I chose this.
I added the jacket because I felt it was lacking something like it and it's not actually summer yet so it would be unrealistic to wear an outfit with no sleeves.
I'm quite happy I've finally found a way to wear the top too, despite it's simplicity it's been tricky to style as the knot seems to get in the way.

What do you think? Like it? Hate it?

1 Item - 5 Looks

The Bonjour Bizou Stretch Jeans (currently 50sc in Starplaza) are, in my opinion, an essential item to have in your closet.
They're very versatile, as most skinny jeans are, and can be styled into a lot of different looks, ranging from casual to formal.
Here are 5 ways you can wear them!

Look One - Wrapping Up Warm

Look Two - Out For The Night

Look Three - Staying At Home

Look Four - Out In The Sun

Look Five - At The Office

Outfit Of The Day #1

LE Lily Stars Scarf - 40sd
Bonjour Bizou Boyfriend Jacket - 7sd
Basics White T Shirt - 40sc
Bonjour Bizou Stretch Jeans - 50sc
LE Black Carryall Tote - 65sd
IT Girls Striped Socks - 30sc
Callie's Picks Black Pleather Platforms - 20sd
Today I went for a warm, casual outfit to match today's rather miserable weather. I wanted to use either the scarf or bag and I ended up going for both but I'm not completely sure if the bag works in this outfit.

For the makeup I kept it simple. I would've changed the lipstick but it works quite well with the lilac of the scarf and the fuchsia lining of the bag.

What do you think about today's choice of clothing?

Limited Edition Review

Today brought a brand new collection of Limited Edition. Probably one of the most anticipated yet.

As soon as the first spoiler was released, hundreds fled to Underneath Stardoll to wait for the collection.
The popular blog reached just under 700 online visitors at it's peak and for a short time it went down because so many people were online.
The Disqus comments were buzzing and people were going mad waiting.

It took around 6 hours after the last spoiler Stardoll posted to get the spoilers for the collection.
And when they arrived, there were mixed feelings.
Many, including myself, loved the collection and couldn't wait for Stardoll to release it.
Others were disappointed and annoyed they had waited so long.
And after that, it didn't take long for the latest collection of Limited Edition to grace Starplaza.
For a while the store itself still said 'Coming Soon' but the items were available to buy and they were going quick.

So, let's get onto the review.

Some pieces were inspired by the Atelier Versace Fall 2013 couture collection, including the Swiss Dots Dress that was shown on a spoiler, but we're unsure what inspired the other items.
Many of the pieces were quite casual, while others had more of a dressy feel to them.
What appear to be the main colours of the collection were blue and pink and I honestly think it worked quite well.
This collection definitely beats the previous one, which wasn't really up to standard, and I hope Stardoll can keep up the good work.

I only bought three items the 'LE Crotchet Jeans', 'Lily Stars Scarf' and the 'LE Black Carryall Tote'.
These are all items that, upon seeing the spoilers, I knew I wanted.

The jeans are an obvious choice. They're quite simple but the 'crotchet' bit adds a nice touch.

I chose the scarf because I am a massive scarf lover. This one was probably better than it's fuchsia sister as I think it's more toned down. I'm more likely to wear lilac in an outfit than a brighter colour.

I loved the bag as soon as I saw it, I love how you can see it has stuff in it. In a similar scenario as the scarf, I chose the black version as I wasn't keen on the blue one and it is, of course, easier to style a black bag.

I was lucky enough to get my items within 5 minutes of them being released, if I hadn't, I doubt I would've been able to get them.

What are your opinions on the collection? Love it? Hate it?

February Hotbuys

While waiting for the spoilers of LE to arrive, Stardoll dropped the February Hotbuys spoiler.
Clearly Valentine's Day inspired I'm pleasantly surprised.

The first to arrive will be the Epiphany Heart Necklace which will be released on the 1st of February.

I'm having mixed feelings about these Hotbuys.
At first glance they seem amazing, considering the standard of recent Hotbuys, but they could very easily go wrong.
For example, the It Girls Heart Shirt, while it may look completely fabulous on the spoiler, it has the potential for disaster, the worst scenario being it not fitting well on your medoll or being unflattering.
Let's just hope that Stardoll can pull them off.

What are your opinions on next month's Hotbuys? Love them? Hate them? Comment below.

Dress For Less - nelly.com

The lovely Stardoll version of nelly.com is one of the most popular stores.
It features trendy clothing with great quality graphics but the price leaves something to be desired.
With it's high, stardollar only prices a bit unpopular I've chosen some basic items from the store and found cheaper lookalikes from other stores.

This outfit has been made using the nelly.com items.
It's stylish and simple but it comes with a hefty price tag of 70 stardollars.

Nice, but a lot of money

This outfit has been made from pieces from different stores.
While cheaper, it doesn't have the wow factor the nelly.com one does but it's a great compromise if you don't have 70sd to spend on the nelly equivalent.
And with a 41 stardollar* saving, it's definitely worth your money.
*starcoins were converted to stardollars

Winter Peak Review

Today a new collection of Winter Peak was released.

The collection, like most of the store's releases are, has a very homely vibe, perfect for a winter suite.

While previous items are exclusive to Apline Chalet owners, this new release is available to everyone. This may just be a glitch but it's one I welcome, since I adore a lot of the items and do not have the chalet.
Get them quick, Stardoll might fix it.

Onto my opinions on the newest collection.
As always, a main theme is classic furs and wood with a bit of a modern twist to it.

The items that stood out to me were the Warm For Winter Cupboard, Charmonix Carpet and the Eagle Eyed Pillow. I can see these fitting in perfectly in my suite and they went straight onto my wishlist.

What did you think of the collection? Any favourites?

Styling Hotbuys

If you're quick to notice new hotbuys you'll have seen the Alex Skirt has been released

It certainly is a love it or hate it item and it's not the easiest to style

Unless you've already seen (in the comments of USD ;D) I've managed to put together 3 outfits using this skirt.

What do you think? And have you found any nice ways of styling it?

Archive Haul

If you know me, you'll know I'm a massive fan of Archive.
And while this lovely store may have left Starplaza, that doesn't stop me buying.

A lot of Archive items are rare, and a lot of them I have found for massively cheap prices.
For example, the sleeveless denim vest, I bought it for 6sd.
And the Insp. by Alexander McQueen shoes (the heeled oxfords) for 4sd.
Sadly I don't have these items any longer, but it still shows that Archive is amazing.

Whenever I have stardollars, I find myself scouring the bazaar search, looking for great deals and good buys.
And I end up buying things.
A lot of things.
But the beauty is, individually, they are ridiculously cheap!
A great way to buy lots of nice, cheap items that you can sell on for a much higher price.

It's worth the time, for it may take a little while with Stardoll's poor search system.

Anyway, without further ado, here's my latest Archive buys!

The tights are something I've owned before and always loved so when I saw them at 2sd I knew I had to buy them, the same goes for the gloves.
The USA sneakers are something I've wanted for months, only ever seeing them priced at 100sd and seeing them being sold for 2sd made my jaw drop! I had to get them!
I'm not sure why I wanted the silver half bodice but if I ever need a futuristic outfit that'll probably be in it.
