New LE Collection

I woke up this morning at half past nine to find a new LE collection had just been released. As there was the contest for the face of LE we knew it was coming so I had saved up over 800 stardollars to spend.
At a glance I wasn't keen on the collection, I'm not a massive fan of fringe and many of the items were covered in fringes. However, at a closer glance I found a lot of good items that I loved.
I managed to spend all of my money and I bought 13 items, this is what I got:

All in all, while this collection was not what I'd call grunge it's still got a good range of clothes and there's something for most people. They also had good clothes for male dolls, some of which I wish there was a female alternative!
If you haven't already, I'd definitely recommend you buy some items. The prices aren't as high as we expected and you can get some great items for your stardollars.

Also, congratulations to the gorgeous face of LE, xXEwelina1996Xx!

A noteworthy outfit...

Spotted this gorgeous look on MadelyneApple, and I've discovered another item to add to my wishlist (that sweater!)

Strike A Pose Review + DIY Leg Pose

Yesterday brought a new store, Strike A Pose, a store dedicated to clothing to give the appearances of different poses for your medoll.

Sadly, it was limited and the numbers were low so it sold out within hours, leaving people who missed it a little annoyed at how little warning we were given.

Stardoll also promised access to the store for non superstars today but obviously everything was gone, taking away that hope they had given to non ss.
I found this extremely deceiving of Stardoll, they should've just kept it for only ss or they should've had more pieces of each to give non superstars the chance to own some of the items.

I loved this collection nonetheless and, though disappointed I couldn't get a piece, I think it was a great idea and I'm definitely going to buy some in bazaar when it becomes sellable (I've already made a deal for the street style latte pose for then).

The most popular item, no doubt, was the New York Blazer Denim. As I recall, it was the first to sell out and there's already a lot of people looking for it, I'm sure it'll become quite rare in the future.
If you, like many others, missed out on it, here's a simple way to mimic the look.

You'll need:
- Some jeans for male dolls
- 2 pairs of the same shoes (make sure they cover your entire foot)
- a shirt (preferably long)

- a big, tall item (I used a decor guitar case)
- another decor item (I used a flower pot)
You might also need a jacket, depending on the shirt

1. First place the jeans on your doll like so.

2. Put your dolls shirt on like normal.

3. Put on one of the two pairs of shoes.

4. Place your tall item on your doll, to cover your leg.

5. Flip the other pair of shoes and place them so it looks like a foot.

6. Cover the other half of the second pair of shoes with another item.

7. Add a jacket if it looks too messy... Or if you think the outfit would look awesome with a jacket.

8. And you're done!

What did you think of Strike A Pose? Do you like this DIY pose? Go ahead and comment!

Fashion Fix - HB Valentin Jacket

One of the months hotbuys, the Valentin Jacket, has been released.
1

On the hanger it looks gorgeous, a casual yet classy jacket. 1
2

However, when you try it on your doll, you get something with a gap in between your doll and the jacket, covering your hands. 2

It looks a bit weird, and obviously real life jackets don't look like that, so how can you fix this?

3
All you need are some black items, like that tank top and skirt! 3

Simply place the items to cover up the gaps and put them behind everything else.

You should end up with something like this! 4

I hope this helped you in some way. Styled this in an awesome outfit? Show me in the comments!

Until next time...

Outfit Of The Day #7

Bonjour Bizou Tompkin Square Dark Jacket - 14sd
Top designed by TerryBear - 10sd
Hot Hot Buys Lace Denim - 18sd
Cheap Monday Carly Ellwood Shoes - 13sd
Today I decided upon a casual double denim look. I love how the hair and shoes make it a lot less casual, I'm sure this would be suitable attire for a house party or something like that.
I love the top, I just bought it from TerryBear's bazaar and I don't think this shows it off enough, so here's what it looks like underneath the jacket in all it's glory.
It's cute and I have quite the obsession for ponies and unicorns as the My Little Pony sweater I'm wearing as I write this would suggest. I have about 3 pony shirts in real life so it's only fitting I have a unicorn shirt in the virtual world as well!

Love it? Hate it? Don't hesitate to tell me below!

Outfit Of The Day #6

Folk Photo Print Frock - 2sd
Callie's Picks Artemis Scarlet Skirt - 26sd
Nelly.com Iris Shoes - 9sd

Callie's Picks #8 - Head Over Heels

Earlier today Stardoll released a new collection of Callie's Picks.

There was a clear Valentine's Day theme and a lot of nice pieces.
This time the chosen items and their prices weren't too scandalous, the worst probably being that heart top, originally a freebie, and the Special Edition Guitar, which if I'm correct is quite rare.

Nothing in this collection really stood out to me at a first glance. There are some quite nice items though a lot of them are definitely not the sort of items I would buy or use.
Overall though, this collection is okay, though I think Stardoll could've chosen better pieces.

The items that captured my attention at first are probably the Micro Hearts Fall Dress (priced 20sd) and the 2010 Dress Inspired by Marc Jacobs (priced 25sd). I bought them as soon as I saw them.

These are my favourite items of the collection:

What do you think? Are you happy with Callie's choices for this issue?

Outfit Of The Day #5

Wig by suheily90 - 44sd
Pretty n Love Hotbuys Valentin Dress - 16sd
Special Offer Valentine Hearts High Waisted Skirt - 0sc
Hotbuys PVC Ankle Boots - 22sd

5 minutes ago I bought the wig my doll is wearing, so naturally I had to make an outfit with it.
I feel very conflicted about this outfit, the hairstyle is the most daring my doll has pulled off in 2 years (I used to look ridiculous back in the newbie days with my weird hairstyles) and I can't tell whether I love it or hate it.
It was very much an impulse buy (found it at a great price of 44sd) and I'm not at all a big stardesign hair wearer.
My makeup is terrible and probably needs redoing since I don't think it works with such a daring hairstyle!
And now onto the outfit.
If you hadn't guessed by the hearts and also the fact I'm selling my Valentine's Day designs (shameless advertising) I'm very into Valentine's Day.
I love the dress and it works really well with the skirt.
The shoes were something I wasn't so sure about, I'm still umming and ahhing.
No accessories though that shouldn't be much of a surprise as I'm not too into purses or anything.
What do you think?

Haul

First off, I'd like to apologize for the lack of posts, the main reason being that there's not been much going on lately.
It's been a slow week.

Now, onto the post.
A while ago I did an Archive haul, this time it's more of a general haul, with items from starbazaar and starplaza.

And it's safe to say I bought a lot.

For the obvious reason, I haven't put the individual prices for everything on the pics but I spent 174sd and 932sc on everything.

I hope these items will benefit me in some way in the near future. I don't regret buying any of them. It was money well spent.

Epiphany Review

Today we were treated with a new floor of a lovely (and expensive) jewelry store, Epiphany.
This collection was filled with hearts and red, perfect for Valentine's day, with some pieces you could easily wear any time of year.
The collection was, quite surprisingly, not too expensive and had some pieces with starcoin prices to offer.

My favourite item has to be the Hearts And Stars Earrings (11sd). I seem to have developed a small obsession with earrings (not surprising as I'm getting my real life ears pierced this weekend!!!)

What's your favourite piece of the collection?

Hotbuys Heart Shirt - IT Girls

It's not everyday I write a whole post about a single item but this piece definitely deserves one.

The Hotbuys Heart Shirt from IT Girls is, simply put, fabulous.
It's based on the Rubber Collar Heart Print Shirt from Burberry Prorsum and Stardoll really pulled it off.

You'd probably expect the gorgeous shirt to cost something from 12-18sd but no. It'll cost you a mere 6 stardollars to purchase this hotbuy.
And with Stardoll's current prices that's little short of a miracle.

When we first saw the spoilers for the February hotbuys I must admit I was a little doubtful of it. In the image you could see the shirt tucked into a skirt and it was hard to know whether it would be flattering.
Stardoll have definitely exceeded expectations with the shirt making it one of my
favourite pieces of the moment.

IT Girls Hotbuys Heart Shirt - 6sd
IT Girls Skirt - 0sc
Killah Pastel Ankle Socks - 6sd
Fallen Angel Heavyweight
Black Platforms - 80sc
This is how I decided to style the shirt but there are a lot of other ways to do so - it's a very versatile piece.

Outfit Of The Day #4

Archive Royal T-Shirt - 600sc
Hot Hot Buys Lace Denim - 18sd
Callie's Picks Floral Print Pump - 4sd
After a few days of searching I finally found the shirt I'd been wanting in the bazaar. And this time, I could buy it!
Before the seller had already reached their starcoin limit so I couldn't get it but I managed to find one I could purchase.

I love this outfit, it has quite a summery feel to it and of course I love the shirt.
For the makeup I used a pink lipstick and a lavender hair colour.

What do you think of the outfit?

Fallen Angel Review

Last night a new collection of Fallen Angel came to our stores.

The collection is filled with black, pleather and gorgeous graphics that would be Nelly.com worthy.

Most of the pieces are in stardollars but there are a few starcoin items that are great.

My favourite piece is probably the Facial Recognition Tee. Not only is this tee in starcoins but it's quite versatile.
I first looked through the collection when it wasn't in the store and only available by link and that was the one thing that stood out to me.

A lot of the items in the collection are quite versatile while having an edge that stops them from being a basic piece.

This is the outfit I made using the aforementioned tee:

Fallen Angel Facial Recognition Tee - 140sc
Hot Hot Buys Lace Denim - 18sd
Cheap Monday Carly Ellwood Shoes - 13sd

Outfit Of The Day #3

Original Future Static Blouse - 9sd
Apres Ski Iced Over Long Skirt - 13sd
Miss XV Girls Heels - 57sc

I went for a slightly more grunge look today, generally because I wanted to try outfits that would work with my lipstick (probably the darkest I've went for ever) and I came up with this.
I really like this look, the shirt is something I was clueless as to how to style it but I think it worked well.

What do you think of this look?

Callie's Picks #8 - Red Carpet Ready

Today brought a new Callie's Picks issue, this one red carpet themed.

There were quite a few great pieces but many people share the concern as to why Stardoll rereleased items still in Starplaza and why the prices are so inflated.
The main issue was the Angelina Dress.
In Callie's Picks the dress bore a rather hefty price tag of 28sd. While the original is still in Starplaza, in Voile, for a mere 8sd.
And another, the Forest Fairy dress. Once given as a freebie, now priced at 24sd in the new rereleases.

While it's clear that a lot of items are simply ridiculously priced, there are some great pieces and a few I'd definitely purchase myself.
Here are my favourite items out of the collection.

Did you like this issue? Or do you just hate Callie's Picks altogether?

Outfit Of The Day #2

Archive Printed Scarf - 7sd
Bonjour Bizou Nolita Moto Jacket - 14sd
IT Girls Paris Tee - 9sd
LE Crotchet Jeans - 65sd
Nelly Iris Shoes - 9sd
Today I opted for a more summery look, wearing pretty basic clothes with a colourful patterned scarf to brighten the outfit up.
I'm in love with this look!
I just bought the scarf and was looking for an outfit to wear it in and I chose this.
I added the jacket because I felt it was lacking something like it and it's not actually summer yet so it would be unrealistic to wear an outfit with no sleeves.
I'm quite happy I've finally found a way to wear the top too, despite it's simplicity it's been tricky to style as the knot seems to get in the way.

What do you think? Like it? Hate it?
